We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual testing and hands-on exposure to automation frameworks, with the curiosity and ownership to grow into a well-rounded QA professional. You will work closely with developers, project managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure product quality across AcmeMinds’ projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Collaborate with developers and project managers to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
  • Ensure test coverage, consistency, and adherence to QA best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 1 – 3 years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience with manual testing for web and mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python (basic level acceptable).
  • Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Familiarity with performance testing concepts.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
